there are many different ways to make money. You can do daycare. you can try an on line job or try doing crafts and selling them( doing craft show and stuff like that) If you are looking into the on line stuff be careful of all the scams. I also work from home. You can check out my profile if you are interested in that option.

It's hard to find a way to earn extra income and raise a family! I've registered for a daycare, but since I don't know that many people in the city, finding families that need care is difficult. If you have people that can network for you and find kids for you, then that is a good idea.
You might be able to do medical transcription, like someone mentioned, but it requires training, and you have to find a company that allows for typing at home. Where I am, it's not easy to find one.
There are a lot of "work at home" scams on the internet. If the company requires you to pay them ANYTHING it's not a job and DO NOT fall for it. You wouldn't go to McDonalds and pay them so that you can work for them- don't do that online, either.
As for crafts, if you are a crafty person, this would be an option, but as a new mom myself, I can't forsee having craft supplies out with a newborn around. But if it's something you want to do, you might be able to make it work.
I've always wanted to decorate cakes for a living. Check out Wilton.com- their classes are so much fun and if you can find people who would pay you to decorate a cake or cookies or petit fours, there would be a little extra cash for you!
Good luck!

I did the in home daycare, but be careful. Don't take in too many, and be selective. You have to consider the fact that whatever these kids are exposed to outside of your home will now be introduced into your household.
Things like flu, colds, chicken pox, head lice, bad behaviors and so on. Be choosy!
There is also this great website to check out. www.homescan.com. The details are too lengthy to explain here, but my family makes an extra $40 a month or so. Not a lot, but it treats the kids to a movie once a month.
Good luck!

Get a license for a daycare. If you are expecting, you should do this now, and wait until you are strong enough to do it. If you open now, and close for the birth, you could lose customers. Take on after school children for now, and then think about the opening with a license. You will have a newborn, so your hours won't be too interrupted.
