my @ button not working it brings out the " quotation mark so I have to use the 2 button at the top of my key

so I have to use the 2 button at the top of my keyboard, how can I reconfigure it correctly .

i assume your in the USA. in the UK it is right that the " is on the 2 button with shift.
change your keyboard language/region in windows.

Start>settings>controll pannel > regional and language options

Your country code is set to US, goto Control Panel under Reginal Settings, make sure all are set to UK, there should be 3 of them in total you need to set

I wasn't aware there was another way to get the @ symbol without using shift-2... hm...
