Okay, it's not like I'm ALWAYS yawning, but when it does happen it's like it never stops.
I can't stop yawning! It's almost like, at the most, every other 2 minutes. It is so annoying, I hate it! My eyes won't stop watering because I'm always yawning, I'm tired of wiping my eyes!
WHY does this happen and HOW can I stop it?

Hi, aside from getting enough sleep yawning has to do with your breathing cycles. That's why you yawn when you wake up because you have been breathing at a lower pace....also why we sometimes yawn when singing because we may be not taking big breaths. Take a few real deep breaths....like you do in the doctors office. That may help. Yawning is such a sensitive reflex it can be triggered by seeing other people yawn, or just thinking about yawning. Good luck.

My jaws are sore and I am starting to get real anxiety from it. I have noticed that when I take a xanax it releases the tension in my chest that seems to initiate the process or feeling of needing to yawn. My problem seems to be anxiety based. I never feel like I draw a full breath. This leads to further freaking out . A sensation of suffocating. Talk to a doctor or psychiatrist maybe. If you find a solution let me know. For now I do get some release from it if I can just relax. I really have to focus on it at the top of a deep breath. I need to really focus on letting it go. But yeah, I get it. Good luck with it.

Usually when people yawn it is the body's way of getting more oxygen. Try to get a lot of sleep, obviously, or sometimes too much sleep can make a person feel very sleepy. Make sure your blood sugar is not too low as well, I have hypoglycemia, and the minute my sugar is low I begin to yawn like crazy.

Yawning is a normal response to fatigue and drowsiness, but excessive yawning can be caused by a vasovagal reaction and may indicate a heart problem.
For more information see your doctor and research this topic more

Also, personally..I have asthma and I sometimes yawn repeatedly to get a deep breath. I don't do it on purpose, it just helps.

yes, you do yawn when you lack oxygen. I find if I take a few deep breaths or blow my nose, I stop yawning. get up and move around, too. anything to get more oxygen.

I would try going to bed earlier at night. Stay on a routine schedule. If that still doesn't help, I would take vitamins.
