I have a 600 watt Onkio amp and I was looking to have speakers both inside and outside of my home. I need either 6 or 8 indoor/outdoor speakers. What would be the best bang for my buck? I don't mind spending a little more if the quality is worth it. thanks :)

For the money, you might go demo some Paradigms...Certainly not the best speakers in the world, but definitely the "best bang for your buck".

Hi. The best speakers are the ones you are happy to listen to.There is so much diversity when it comes to buying sound equipment. There is no one system better than the other. Each of us has a unique preference and it is no easy task to find the one that is right for us.Therefore you must hear them first to get an idea what you are after.I know sometimes it is a bit inconvenient doing this as you would rather get the answer from one of us, but we don't know. As an example some will tell you to buy Bose because the sound is "awesome"While others will show their disgust and tell you to keep away from Bose.Who do you believe? .Who is correct. Trust your own ears, not others. Of course we can suggest some models that have a good reputation to help you start.Do you want some outdoor speakers that are weatherproof
.
Another area that is often overlooked is the room your equipment will be working in.The dimensions, construction and furnishings will have an influence on the final sound you hear. The size of the room and large items of furniture will affect the low frequency performance. The midrange and highs will be affected by the amount of soft furnishing such as carpets, curtains, wallcoverings and soft chairs etc.and an excess of these items can produce a dull and lifeless sound. The opposite (little or no soft furnishings )will create a hard bright sound. So a balance between the two extremes should improve the accoustics.

Have a listen to some bright sounding speakers such as Klipsch if your room is heavily furnished and if it is not try some British speakers like KEF or Warfedale .Of course you can alter the room to suit the sound.
ONEmore thing to realize is the sound you hear in the dealers showroom is going to sound different in your room. So you can see it is not an easy task to finaly get the speakers of your choice.Hop this has helped a bit.
Cheers.

I haven't listened to that many speakers, but the B&W speakers I have heard are amazing. They are kind of expensive, but the sound is incredible.
