Neither...
You should pray about what church you join. Ask God to lead you to His church.
Good luck! :)

In my opinion (as a non-believer) the Orthodox Church offers a great deal of art and culture and a unique historical perspective that most modern Protestant Churches do not. The Orthodox Church developed largely independent of the Catholic Church, from which most Protestant groups take their traditions and beliefs.
Given the two choices presented, I would rather be a part of the long legacy of art, culture, and beauty that the Orthodox Church has created. In my opinion, modern, protestant Churches are too grounded in their beliefs and fail to appreciate the beauty of the world around them while Catholic and Orthodox traditions carry with them a much more meaningful historical perspective, which gives them a certain amount of depth that other forms of Christianity seem to be lacking in.

I will tell you what is good and bad with both of them; I should know, because I've tasted both flavors.
The baptists are famous for their "water tight" sound doctrine; they are great on fundamentals and spreading the good news. The orthodox truly value liturgical order, mystical symbolism and godly reverence.
Conversely, baptists many times are classified as non-charismatic. In other words, they do not practice spiritual gifts or dynamic power from the Holy Spirit. As with the orthodox, they are viewed as irrelevant and overly consumed with valuing the trivial.

Not knowing the particulars of a particular church makes giving advice as to this difficult. Both churches vary often from other churches in their denominations (they are not all the same). You must really answer this for yourself.
I would choose neither. My personal suggestion is to find a Reformed Presbyterian Church in the area (Presbyterian Church of America, or Orthodox Presbyterian), or even a Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod is best). You will likely find these churches much more intellectually stimulating, and much more full of depth of doctrine.
Good luck in your choices.

It always amazes me to hear people speak as though Christ did not practice a religion. He was a Jew, born of the House of David, in the linage of Aron, a Rabbi, and found in the temple. Paul went about the known world establishing churches. What do people think happened to those very churches? Why! They are still there! Orthodox or Roman Catholic.

go to both, meet the communities and feel out which one you feel best in. Remember a big aspect of church is being there with other people. Explore a little and figure out which group you are drawn towards.

I am a regular church attender. The choice is totally up to you. Having a great college group is alway nice, but what style of worship do you feel the most comfortable. If it is a more modern church, choose Baptist. If it is more traditional, choose orthodox. I attend a Southern Baptist church myself. I love it!

I think you should pray about it...
Do a little more searching in that area.
There's a verse in the Bible that says his church will bear his name(Jesus Christ)
*EDIT* To the answer below me: Wikipedia is not a good place to find out about what religions believe and/or teach...
I don't belong to neither the Baptist or Catholic and I would never go to wikipedia to find out about any religion.

depending on your commitment to truth, i personally would look for the church embraced by the fathers of the church. the apostles, the church that has remained true for 2000 years, or the 100 year old church that has its sole focus on th pulpit and not on Christ
