There is a bloke who I know as a general friend (not close one) and sometimes when he sees me he winks at me and then smiles. In the past when we have been out as part of a group with my other half he has looked at me and winked at me and on two separate occasions put his arm round my shoulder after winding me up and then whilst sitting next to me at a table he put his arm round my waist whilst I was stroking his pet dog that he had bought to the pub once. We have also had innuendo banter between the two of us but its the winking that gets me though - is this flirting, does he fancy me or is it just him being friendly to a female acquaintance. I always thought winking meant they fancied you. Lately though he hasn't been as chatty when he has seen me but has started winking at me again.

In the U.S., if a man puts an arm around a woman, intent for physical contact is implied. Depending on what part of the world this you're from, the touching and winking may just be friendly. When in doubt...ask the bloke! Maybe he just has a facial tick(LOL)...

lol, the language differences between the US and other english speaking countries always cracks me up! haha.
I've never had a guy wink at me, personally i thought that was more of an old-fashioned thing that only was in old movies, but maybe its just not common in the US. Sounds like he's flirting though.

if you are the only person that he winks at then he doesnt have a twitching problem. Maybe he wants you to think of him as a cool person and very handsome. Putting his arm around you may mean that he does like you. Only very very close guyfriends do that in my opinion. i think he likes you and he wants you to like him back.

I would think this was a way of farting and wanting you but guys are hard to read you have to ask and be right about it and not be scared of the word no or you could ask a friend to ask and try to find out and ask around for you and maybe on of his friends.

sometimes guys wink, just to wink...my son winks at me all the time...
other times, it means they are interested, start winking back and see what happens
