Depends on how close you are with your first cousin and how much you can afford (sometimes it's cheaper to buy a gift).
How about a minimum $25.07 (add the .07 for the graduation year, lol)... up to $50.07.

I usually go about $25. A gift certificate is nice if they have no plans for after HS. But if they're going to college, make an electrical basket. A nice wire basket, electrical adapters, a couple of 8' extension cords, batteries, and a plug bar. Trust me, they'll need them! They may laugh at first, but when they get to college they will be kissing your feet!

do base it too much on price. if you don't know, do a gift basket. if they are going to be a surgeon for example, give them operation, a little plastic child's sculpture of the body, or stuff like that. it doesn't cost too much, and it is not cheesy.

i would say the norm is around 25.00 but i liked the answer with the extra seven cents to cover the year of graduation.
