Yes, I own the property. Im haveing about 20 people out next month to camp for ten days, it would be nice if I could thin the tick poulation around our camp site.

For you cattle we just run the through a diesel brush. I can't put diesel fuel on my friends, I guess they will just have to deal with it.

The best way is to do a controlled burn in the woods, but I don't think you want to do that. Because you will have people their.

The best you could expect is for them to stay away for a few weeks. You would have to use a truck mounted fogger that is specific for spiders and the arachnid family. Then it would depend on how long the fog stayed at ground level since it would have to penetrate any wood that the ticks could be in.

Also, if your talking more than a large back yard with some trees, I think it would be very costly for what you would get out of it. You might be better off clearing all the brush and downed limbs and basically make it look like a park. Then spray and then wear tick repellent when out in the woods.

This all would be about as easy as asking how to keep birds from flying over your property. The easiest way to avoid ticks is either do not go into the woods or wear a top grade repellent.

Well, there is no real way to be honest.
First you have to own the property or else the removal would be illegal.
Second, the eggs are too small to just find, nests are almost impossible to find, and there are a lot of them

I guess if you're desperate you could spray everything, but that would be near impossible too unless you fly overhead with pesticide... then you guarantee making your woods pretty much animal free, and maybe plant free

Best thing I can say is deal with it

just get some bug spray that has deet in it. That stuff works like a champ when keeping off ticks and anyother bugs...remember to get some with "deet"

Ticks usually don't live where fire ants live. So you could bring some fire ants over, then you'd have ants though.
