It's not meant to be worn although some do. Whether or not they wear it all the time is up to them. I don't wear mine.

The Rosary can be worn around the neck or wrapped around the wrist or attached to a belt,but it is usually carried in pocket or bag to be used by hand when "counting" the beads for the Hail Marys and other prayers( or for the chaplet of Mercy or other short-lined devotions. Some people hang rosaries on walls.bedposts or car rearview mirrors. Some religious orders wear a rosary attached to a belt or cord around the waist.
In addition to the more common Dominican Rosary ther is the Franciscan Crown Rosary. Some Buddhists and Hindus and Muslims(worry beads) use prayer or meditation beads like rosaries. Eastern Orthodox and Greek Catholics use wool and other prayerropes or prayerbeads for the Jesus Prayer.

The rosary isn't to be worn by the layman. It is displayed by some orders (Dominican, Franciscan, etc.) It is traditional for some Hispanics and Asians to wear them around the neck however.

Most Catholics don't wear rosaries--they keep them somewhere and take them out for prayer.
I've known some monks who wore rosaries around their necks some of the time, but they are the exception, not the rule.

You're not supposed to wear a rosary. It is ment to be prayed, not worn as jewelery.

No. A rosary ( the beads) is a tool for counting and meditating - it is not a necklace.
Many people carry one with them al the time, but it is not a necklace.

A rosary is not Jewelry. Anyone who thinks that it has mystical powers or can save you is a heretic and is in danger of excommunication.
