I have very dry skin and as a result I'm noticing a lot of lines on my face as well as having flaky and sore itchy skin and the texture feels a little rough. I use a face wash every day and moisturise with Olay daily moisturiser. However, my skin really suffered this winter as I now work in windowless office so my skin looks parched. Because my skin looks so bad I cover it up with Maxfactor powder Facefinity foundation for my work day but I guess it just makes matters worse. Any advice of how I can rehydrate my skin and restore it's suppleness? By the way, am in my late twenties if that helps somewhat.

Thanks

Firstly, I would stop using that powder.
I like using moisturizers by the brand Cetaphil, and I put it on right after I wash my skin.
If you want a natural solution, I occasionally make this little facial thing with cucumber, oatmeal, yogurt, and honey. They moisturize my skin really well.
Good luck!

Try Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream. Body Shop do a little bottle of Almond oil which you could use a night. Stop using a power foundation this will make things a lot worse. Try going without foundation or just pop some on your cheeks and they use bronzer to give a bit of colour. Drink plenty of water, eat well etc. Don't use a face wash, use a cream cleanser instead and remove with damp cotton wool pads. If you can afford it, try the Clinque range for dry skin. Ensure that any toner that you use is completely free of alcohol.

Take a supplement of Omega 3. It moisturizes the skin from the inside out, clears up dry patches and makes skin really smooth and supple. You should notice some difference in a couple of days.

Switch to liquid foundation and check out olays line of hydrating lotions. Specifically look for dry skin. As for the flaking skin and roughness, use saint ives apricot scrub, it works great whenever I have dry skin, it takes it right off and is pretty gentle for a scrub, get the exfoliation kind. Good luck

Eat a balanced diet with the right fats (especially olive oil and coconut oil). Try an all natural moisturizer with CoQ10 in it. Also try applying coconut oil topically. Your face will feel greasy for about 45 mins then look very healthy
