For me it does have to do with the moment Sr lost his life on the track, but it wasn't just that specific event, it was the whole sights and sounds surrounding the moment. I will never forget watching Michael Waltrip looking like he was going to get his first Daytona 500 win, battling out Jr for his possible first win. Listening to DW calling the final lap, the excitement in his voice and words increasing as things looked good for Michael, and watching Sr crash, and then hearing Darrell wavering between excitement for Michael, and worry for Dale. I will never forget him cheering for his brother, but at the same time saying I sure hope Dale's OKay. It is just an unforgetable moment in Nascar.

The biggest moment in NASCAR history was when MIchael Waltrip won The Daytona 500 in 2001, the sad part though is that Dale sr. died

To me the biggest moment in racing was the day Dale Sr died in a crash that should not have taken his life. He was not my favorite driver, but he was a good driver and had a lot of respect for others. He will always be remembered with Nascar fans and missed.

so some distance, the 1st actually NASCAR race I went to. final years Coke 0 4 hundred at Daytona. notably solid end too. It sucks because of the fact i grow to be sitting in turn one million and could not see the end line that properly.

When The Intimidator won The Daytona 500 and all of the crews came out to pit row to congradulate him,and my boy put a donut on his car !!!!
