Assuming Christianity is the one true religion, how do they account for all the people who have attained enlightenment?

I think some are answering the wrong question. Even IF Nirvana does not exist, there are many who have believed themselves to have attained enlightenment and it has been a life changing experience for them. Regius, you are getting paranoid, Buddhism encourages tolerance of the religions of others. Also, importantly, the Buddha asked his own disciples to question even his own teachings so that they may be fully convinced of their authenticity for themselves. Even minutes before his death he asked his disciples if they had any doubt whatever about his teachings (they did not). Who has attained enlightenment? Well obviously Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha, Buddha means 'enlightened one' and can refer to anyone who has realised Nirvana), and many others. Fish<>< this has nothing to do with Satan or deception do not assume that because a religion is not Christianity that it cannot also be good. Knuckleh enlightenment does not mean 'to become one with nature', I think you are a bit confused.

Easy -- the assumption that "Christianity is the one true religion" is a false assumption.

Obviously Christians should look into what enlightenment is before they say anything. I, personally, am all for the idea of becoming "one with nature" and letting the animals live. However, I feel that only God can bring about such a higher state of thought and being through time.

Enlightenment is an experience one has beyond the experience of religious traditions. All who achieve it understand the Foundation upon which their enlightenment stands. Though they may understand it and speak of it in terms that they understand, this is merely semantics. To try to explain it is like trying to fry an egg on the sidewalk. All who attain it will tell anyone who asks, "Experience it for yourself and you will know."

Explain the difference between attaining Enlightenment and achieving Union with God or experiencing the Christian Gnosis?

Its time for everyone to start understanding that all these things are just different words, images and metaphors for the same thing? There is no contradiction.

Who is supposed to have attained enlightenment? Are we to take your word for this, or do you have some objective measure for us to try? If other religions are free to make this demand of Christianity and deny our the validity of the faith on this basis, then turn about is fair play.

Define "enlightenment" in non-humanist terms. Good luck

I'm Christian, but I don't really care what religion other people are. They can believe whatever they want to, as long as they don't shove it in my face.

Both are deluded. "Nirvana" is as subjective as being "saved". Neither really has any basis in fact.
