What can you tell me about Albany, New York???

Question

I'm on the waitlist for Albany Law School and its my first choice! I live in California and I've never been to the eastcoast. Tell me anything and everything you know about Albany!!! Weather? Crime? Prices? Housing? Shopping? Entertainment? Anything at all!!!!!
And please dont send me a link...I already know how to do that on my own! I want some insider information!

I lived in Albany for six months on Central Avenue. Some individuals love Albany others do not. I did not like Albany for a few causes, one million) an excessive amount of poverty and hoodlums two) no longer too many facets of sights three) climate is terrible within the iciness four) precise units fee greater than in NYC five) together with the hoodlums too many hippies and marijuana. On the intense facet, Albany is nice for presidency and lobbying possibilities. Rallies/protests through the Capitol are continually exciting. In the spring time, Washington Park is lovely. Downtown Albany is picturesque with many corporations and Times Union Center within the center of it. P.S. For something cause, after eight pm or so, sidewalks are void of individuals. Almost like a ghost the town. It's particularly bizarre.

Look, the only reason you need to move to Albany is if you have a state or federal job. Thats the only reason why anyone moves there, no one can pay me to move to any city upstate.

Prices are low due to low demand.

Crime is low in most areas.

Shopping forget about it, there are a few malls around i guess.

Entertainment, thats funny!....Watching cars move on the New York State Thurway, Staring at trees, walking.
