I have frizzy hair and I need help! The worst part seems to be the stuff on the back and on the bottom... how do you fix it? I'm getting my hair cut a couple inches, will that help? Then, what is the best shampoo/conditioner/leave in moisturizer to use? Does straightening my hair damage it more?
ANY help would be GREAT. I want smooth shiney hair pleaseee!

Yes cutting off dry ends will help, yes straightening damages, and I often have the same probs. I like John Fried'a "Frizz Ease" sold at walmart, ect... its a leave in stying product... tames the frizz and adds shine.

I'm with you girl! I stopped using conditioner in the shower and instead use Paul Mitchell's Detangler only. Shampoo doesn't matter. After I just squeeze it dry then within a couple minutes I use Redken Extreme Anti-Snap. I use 7 squirts apply with my head upsidedown, scrunch on ends first, then run all through the rest of my hair. I flip my head back up and just shake it a little to get the natural part in it. Then leave it alone! If you touch it it will frizz. I let it air dry now and when all the sides and back are dry, as you know they dry first, I just fluff at the scalp. My hair looks so much better and I don't even need my hair dryer anymore. I've been working on this for 42 years now and finally found the answer! : ) You can kind of see my hair in my 360 profile pic.

Do you own a CHI smoothing iron? It's the BEST. I have very frizzy hair naturally, and straightening it with other irons made it 10x worse. She got me a CHI and it totally looks like my hair was professionally straightened and smoothed. I also use the new Dove shampoos and conditioners and my sister said it's REALLY good for frizzy hair... as cheap as it is, it's really better for our hair types than the expensive salon brands.

using an anti frizz will help, trimming the dead ends off will help, straightening it will make it appear silky and smooth but can harn your hair without using a heat protector. I have the same problem and I live in texas all there is here is humidity which is aweful for hair. try garnier shampoos and conditioners and leave in conditioners. you might also try and deep conditioner they help make it silky.

any brand of shine serum will take the frizz out of your hair, just read the user comments to make sure it's a good one before buying.

if you're cutting your hair to eliminate split ends then it will help the frizziness, but if you don't have split ends it probably won't make a difference.

use a diffuser on your hairdryer, and get some matrix smooth & sleek shampoo & conditioner.

my hair is long enough for me to sit on, and by using this combination, my naturally thick curly frizzy hair looks smooth, shiny, full and lusterous!

Herbal Essence straightening shampoo. It comes in a pink bottle. Or, try the Panteen pro-V color specific shampoos and conditioners, even though they're for color, they smooth hair really well too. Growing your hair actually smooths it. Cutting won't make it frizzier, it just won't make it smoother.

?: DO you straighten your hair. It's time consuming, but in some cases, it's the only way.
Good Luck

get an anti-frizz moisturizer from suave. that works well. Also, cutting your hair doesn't help that much on the top, but mostly the bottom, because you cut it off =p straightening your hair DOES damage it, but only if you do it too often. to prevent damage you can use a spray that you can find in most drug stores - it prevents heat damage. good luck!

I use Sunsilk anti-frizz shampoo, conditioner, and 24/7 creme. It's the best so far for me! I have frizzy, wavy hair and it works perfectly.
