They want to believe things because it adds drama to their lives. They lead boring lives.

Biggest Reason: "They want to believe the dirt"
The news media knows this and will run a story - even a fabricated and fictiitous story - just to get it out there to make ratings. People tend to believe the dirt far more than they will something positive about someone.
Tell them John D. is screwing around on his g/f even though it's not true, and they will believe it. BUT, tell them John D. just signed up to go mountain climbing on Mount Everest and they won't believe it
Human nature. People love gossip, dirt, shared secrets and all manner of bull-crud. It's sad really but that's the way of the world. If you have friends/relatives who believe untruths about you, then cut them loose fast because people who believe lies are just as moronic & stupid as the ones who tell them.

Makes them feel better about themselves and superior to some others
Gives them someone to blame for the problems of the world
They never bother to check out the stories about others from primary sources. They do not do "their homework"
They trust their sources without checking the veracity

cause they lead sad lives and get off on others peoples misery. Rise above all the gossip vultures. Although it can be hurt full... you know the truth!!! I always believe in Karma... what goes around comes around.. and they will need you before you need them. Keep your chin up... x

people love gossip. sometimes they just like the gossip to be involved with people who dont ordinarily bother with them, unless they think they have a listening audience. Dont be a party to it. and if its YOU they are talking about. THINK THIS WAY

bcoz there are lots of people who preffer hearin lies telling than the truth it depends on their interest. but i think day sometimes lies tellin pays!( SOME TIMES)
