The on/off button pushes in , nothing happens. How can I fix this or is it fixable?

Anything is fixable, if you want to spend enough money. But you have to ask if it's worth it. Is it cable ready? Can you connect it to a DVD player? Is the color and the image sharp and crisp and easily seen? Does it match your decor? Can you get all the channels that your cable system offers?

If you can find someone to repair it, the fix would probably cost more than what this set is worth. But if you want to keep it, and not leave it on when you're not using it, go get a power strip/surge protector for a computer, one with an on/off switch. Then plug the TV into the strip, and set it next to the TV. Flip the switch, and you're on, off, whichever you need.

Yes, it is fixable. It could be as easy as just replacing the ON/OFF switch and maybe not. You probably will not have any luck in finding the exact replacement part. Not sure if TV repair shops still handle TV's past a certain year. Won't hurt to inquire about it. If there isn't any sentimental value with regards to this TV, just get rid of it and get yourself a new one.

Get the on-off button fixed. But as of February 2009 you wont be able to use the tv anyway. Unless you buy a digital to analog converter box.
