I would pull my husband aside immediately, if he did such a thing, and let him know that if someone did that in front of my kids, I'd probably tear them a new one - and he should way more respect in public for the children's sake!

I would feel completely disrespected and would give him hell for it. There is a time and place for such things. Around children isn't such a place.

Re-evaluate your relationship with this person. They don't seem to be respecting you. If you didn't want them to do this (which is what it sounds like) then they have no right to. Talk to them about it. If they do it agian, leave them. They obviously don't respect you.
