You cannot go wrong with a fully loaded Versa. Or even a base model for that matter. I own two Detroit cars and work for Nissan and I am even thinking of a Versa 6 speed to complement my cars economical to the max. 36 miles a gallon Lot's of cool features like blue tooth and Fosgate stereo system. Air bags every where safety is important but so is defensive driving. Save the big comfortable car for road duty and the powerfull car for the occasional race day or road racing track.

If you are really concerned with reliability, safety, and gas mileage, you will NOT be dissapointed with what the Nissan Versa offers. Nissan engines are pretty much bullet proof. If you do a little research online with the Nation Highway Institute, the Versa actually recieved the HIGHEST possible crash test ratings. The only vehicle in its class to recieve perfect scores for FRONT, SIDE, and REAR. They also come STANDARD with Side and Curtain Airbags and the vehicle also gets up to 36 mpg. Compared to top brands like the Honda's Fit and the Toyota's Yaris, that is extremely impressive because both the Fit and Yaris only have a 109hp and the Fit is actually a Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) which is a lot weaker than Nissans 126hp in a Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC). The Versa's also have a 105000 mile tune up free engine and is equipped with a Timing Chain instead of the traditional noisy timing belt that needs to be replaced. Their chains are quiet and last the life of the engine which can be a very long time. I really hope this helps in your decision process.

Almost anything made by Saturn. I have a 99 Saturn and I get 40 mpg and have had for 1 year. I have not had to have any work other than oil changes since I purchased. They also have one of the best crash test rating. I recommend Saturn to everyone I know looking to buy new vehicles for the same reason.

Personally, I'd skip the Versa and go for the Altima new 2 door coupe or 4 door...Just a little more $$ , more HP, and more room.

Versa is too tiny IMO. LOL, but then again, it just might have more trunk space than my 350Z.
