My brother's wedding is tomorrow, and I'm a bridesmaid. Problem is, that I look like I'm 15 with the recent outbreak of acne and stuff. I'm actually 26, so this is pretty embarrassing. Are there any quick fixes to put on my face to minimize the issues on it so I can feel ok with 200 people looking at it? I've been putting toothpaste on them every night, but it's not helping much. I don't usually have a problem with facial blemishes, so I'm at a loss.

Thanks!!!!

Oh, and I do use ProActiv everyday...that's why I haven't had acne problems for years....

It's just a weird freak of nature, I guess....

Have you tried Dermablend?

It cost a bit, but it does work. It may help you feel less self conscious until the break out goes away.

I found mine at a department store, similar to Macy's.

Good luck

Hi! I'm 26 too and I'm doing the same exact thing!!! I look like a teenager....

Anyways, this is what I have been doing and it's helps. I use a pore reducing scrub at night and in the morning. Well, it's a face wash. Then I use clearasil Acne Treatment Cream. At night I do the same thing and use a hydrating cream to cover my face. Yesterday I broke out on my bottom cheeks and neck.....So last night I covered my skin in the clearasil Acne Treatment and this morning it was cleared up enough just to put makeup over it and go.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

hey!

Woman you're just having a physical nervous reaction since you dont want to feel your nervousness. This is common of an event where you perceive hundreds of eyes on you. Especially if you have reason to believe that some of these people will be judging you or looking for flaws.

Its similar to an allergic reaction, or hiccups.

Your body thinks there is something wrong and so is acting like there is.
Once you convince yourself that everything is ok, or better, that everything was always ok, then your body stops reacting otherwise.
Sometimes a "remedy" will cause you to believe in it going away, which is the same as simply telling youself that it is better.
You must focus on finding the fullest confidence you can and present the best that you would choose to display of youself, so that you can be proud of who you are, and decide what they think of you. Your face will follow suite. Trust yourself.

they can be really hard to find but ponds makes these little clear stickers that have salycylic (?sp) acid on them and you use them overnight and those have always been the quickest fix for me. also, take some advil b/c its an anti-inflammatory and use an ice pack. other than that, go have your makeup professionally done b/c they will have more makeup options for covering acne (pancake, concealers, etc.) that will stay put for the wedding and look good in pics. good luck.

first of all relax...most of the time between make up and lighting your problem wont even be noticed. The relaxing in and of itself will help as perhaps the impending wedding has something to do with your condition.
we went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and my son came up with a big one right on the tip of his nose...it was large. We dabbed a little drying agent on it and a bit of clearasil light brown color and by the time we got seated and such i couldnt even see it.
Have a good time your brother is the guy and he loves you no matter what.

well toothpaste works for some people....i use lemon juice and it works for me...but it's not a quick fix. so if the wedding is tomorrow, you're gonna have to rely on makeup. use a very good concealer. you could try going to the mall to do your makeup.

I have had acne for 3 years now and nothing will make it go away. Sorry I know that you didn't want to hear that.

i use finger nail polish remover, just put a lil on it before you go to bed and they will either disappear or dry our so you can pop them, i used to have a bad problem with it and now i dont, but you do want to make sure to keep moisturizer on your face because it does dry it out
