in my opinion thats something you would need to get lucky on. You need to ask on the job sites where they are builing just go up and ask. The more times you ask the better chance of getting something. if they say no ask them if they know somebody.
There is a risk for an employer as such a short time they wont want to screw around with all the paper work so be prepared to say you would be indepent contractior and get some business cards printed up showing that you are an entity...

I would look in the yellow pages for all the construction companies & call them up and ask them if they would hire you for a month, that way you should be getting through to a lot of companies and hopefully, one will hire you.

go to a temporary employment agency and see if they can hook you up with any work. Or call some construction companies or framing companies and ask if they need any help.
