Sir, the answer is quite simple.

When our saviour was here he was not addressed with the name of JESUS. You are correct in your statement.

His name was Hebrew. Yahushua. it means Yah saves.

The greek Iesous, is GREEK, in which Jesus was tranliterated from. Our savior was not Greek and neither was he addressed as such. Iesous does not mean Yah saves but the Hebrew Yahushua means Yah saves. "J" did not even exist until the 16 century. The fact of the matter is, whether we want to believe or not, Jesus was not the name of our Savior and all the names have been changed. Oh yes, Christianity is guilty of a lot ot things.

Well, there is more , but I must admit that I am not as well versed on this as I am on say, ISLAM. Though my intentions are to be.

If Jesus were the son of Joseph and not the son of God, then you could say that he was Jewish. As far as the name "Jesus": the translators wrote that and no one ever called Him "Jesus" while he walked this earth. His name is actually "Yahshua" (some spell it Yeshua). The Bible tells us that He came in His father's name. God's name was never Jesus or zuse, but Psalm 68:4 tells us that the short form of God's name is "Jah" (Strong's Concordance corrects this to "Yah", because there is no "J" in Hebrew) "Yah" is short for "Yahweh" (God's name) "Yahshua is the correct name for whom many people call "Jesus". Hope this is helpful!

In the original text, which is written in Greek, the name of Jesus is Iesous (ee-ay-sooce'). Notice no J! This name is of Hebrew origin, namely Yehowshuwa` (yeh-ho-shoo'-ah). Again no J.

Jesus is simply the latin translation of the Greek “lesous”.
which means "Yahweh is Salvation" (Yahweh being the ancient name for God)

"Jesus" is a Greek name.

And it was not his name anyway so what does it matter?
