that god can not be all knowing, all powerful, and all loving? Maybe two of the three, but certainly not all three. My reasoning is that there are several planets in our solar system, and ours is the only one in which we humans inhabit. Don't you find it a little odd that god would choose to allow the serpent to roam free to tempt people here on earth, when it could easily have been restricted to Pluto or Uranus? Did god not know letting the serpent run free with us would cause us to sin? Was he powerless to stop the serpent from being let loose on earth? Or did he think it would be cool to let the serpent mess us up? Does he think throwing us in an eternal deep fryer is justified, given that this whole thing could have been avoided if he had just put the serpent somewhere else? Isn't that just a tad sadistic?

Fireball, I've watched your posts for a few months now and even though I don't agree with most of them, I've been respectful and not blasted you as I've had to with Jan and Bad Roman, but you know deep down that I'm right. I have no problem with you believing in God, I just want you to find God on your own and realize that the Palestinians created their god to reflect their culture. The things mentioned in this question are too human to be attributed to God, but yet they are in the bible. It really should be setting off some red flags in your heart and mind, especially knowing what 'god's favorite people' were like when they became the favorites. If anything, God should have spoken to someone with a better standard of morality and chosen them as the favorites. You may want to think about that. Take care Fireball, and I'll be watching.

We have that free will thing. We (Adam and Eve) could have decided not to listen to the serpent.
I do think that our free will changes things and that, perhaps, although God may know all (by observing the goings on on earth) and knows the final outcome for the world, God has to constantly change his perspective on things.
Such is the case with Noah's Ark. Had he known it was going to be so bad and that he would be so angry, why would he even have created man? And, why, then would he have felt remorse for the destruction of the humans (aside from Noah and his family) at that time? Hence, God sent the rainbow.
Not everything is carved in stone. Only the ten commandments.

hahahaha There's a serpent in uranus!
And another question to add...... how can an "all loving" god punish EVERY human in existance until the end of time for the misbehaviour/disobedience of his first two creations? That doesn't sound "all loving" or "forgiving" to me.

Maybe God put all the ingredients for the universe in a bowl, stirred it up, and has been letting it cook for the past 10 billion years. I can't wait to see what he ends up with.

It was all done according to his Will. Yes, he knew we would transgress the law. He was not powerless to stop it. It seems unrighteous to us but it is not unrighteous to him. we are all sinners. He only had a plan to redeem a few people while the majority he sends to hell. does it sound sadistic to humans it does but in the greater sceme of things no.

Satan romes the earth too, This is why God gave us free will, so we have a choice. They were told not to eat of the tree of knowledge but failed to listen. If temptation wasn't here we would not have free will or choice.
Consider that!

Don't transfer your thoughts and try to make them like God's. There's a vast gulf between you and Him. He knows everything, including your end. But He will not force you to do anything, one way or the other. The wisdom of letting you do your thing will be realized in time. Either here or in the afterlife.
