If I am going to hell... who cares.. I have heard the 'word of Jesus' MANY MANY TIMES and I just don't care....

All you are doing now is pissing us off... why don't you shut the hell up now?

You bother me EVERY day... I can't watch things b/c they are 'sinful', You are against my freedom of choice in abortion, stem cell research, cloning etc.....

Some christians can say vice versa. I have never imposed my religion on others nor do I know anyone who does. However whenever there is an atheist in the room, they start to go on and on about how religion is flawed and we (people with religions) are in fact just believing in nothing. Sorry, but I will continue to praise god and continue to recognize all that he has done for me, I will not shut up about it. Just because you have no faith doesn't mean people who do have faith should shut up, just ignore it, we ignore you.

I've been an atheist for years, and Christians never bother me. Of course it's not very obvious that I'm an atheist because I rarely choose to discuss religion and it rarely comes up. The subject is out of my purview.

I've found that when I post thoughtful, well written essays in this forum, they are well received even when I ignore the religious side of a question.

In face to face conversations, the key is to listen more than you talk and to refrain from criticizing or advocating for atheism. It's a place people come to on their own and needs no advocacy.

Christians find joy and comfort in their faith and it's only natural for them to want to share that joy with people that they care about. Be patient. Don't rain in their parade. Why cause unhappiness or needless distress?

I think that we as Christians could be less argumentative (I know I've been guilty of this) and atheists could be a lot less inflammatory towards Christians.

For the same reasons you atheist do the same to believers all the time. At least you CANNOT say we, believers, are in the section of "Atheism" annoying you or looking for any confrontation on purpose. If you know, and you're so sure you are not a religious person, why are you on "Religion & Spirituality"??? If you are here, it means you are looking for confrontation, you look for it, you got it!!

The Xians - especially the fundaMENTALists are trying to save everyone from themselves.They're radicals who can't have a normal existence without everyone else believing the same crap they themselves believe. Didn't Jesus meet people where they were at, not where he wanted them to be? If christians really care, they would give the message in the way it needs to be given - not the way they want to tell it. If they damn us to hell by making us unreceptive, how will that make their god feel?
