The message is that if you throw a party for all of your buddies, and after three days of drinking you decide it's a good time to have your wife show them her 'stuff', she better do it or you can have a sex contest with all of the local virgins and replace her with a better model.

And if the new chick wants you to have a few people whacked because they looked at her funny, that's ok too.

She interceded for her people in their time of need and saved alot of lives. And her story isn't that long so it took less time to copy.

probably because it was a 'female-underdog over coming fear for the betterment of all' type scenario. she's good to learn from. argueably the bravest woman in the Bible.
