I am an atheist. Just from you question however i can tell your my favorite type of Christian. I have no qualms with people who believe in god. People who tout the bible as god's word piss me off. Keep thinking like you are fulfillment comes in all sorts of ways and a belief in god is great but a belief in the bible is limiting and ignorant

Jesus said the truth would set us free. That statement would be meaningless unless God gave us a means of knowing the truth with complete certainty. Obviously the Bible is not the whole answer because those who look only to the Bible have ended up fragmenting into thousands of conflicting manmade denominations with conflicting doctrinal beliefs, which means false beliefs, since truth cannot conflict with truth. The Bible however does reveal the means God has provided for knowing the truth with certainty. The Bible tells us that the Church Christ founded is "the pillar and foundation of truth". It's a powerful analogy. We all know what happens to a structure when you remove its pillars and foundation. It weakens, changes shape, and eventually collapses, just as the truth has done in denominational religion. God gave us an infallible Church with the power of binding and loosing, and told us that whoever listens to this Church listens to God Himself. He told this Church, and no-one else, that the Holy Spirit would guide them to all truth. Therefore, yes, I do know with absolute certainty that the 73 inspired texts of the Holy Bible are God's Word. I know this the only way anyone can know it - because His infallible Church has declared it to be so, and this truth is therefore bound in heaven, and is God's final word on the subject. Amen!

faith is not blind -- that is not faith. To some degree you have faith that Moscow exists, that when you turn a switch on some electric mechanism will begin to operate.
In the same manner, faith is built on the word of God, studying its prophecies and seeing that the great number has come true, carrying out the principles taught in our private lives and seeing them work, and prayer -- yes prayer -- when the Christian prays many a time a positive response is received neigh immediately, other times a no, and still other times -- time is required to solve the problem.

If you do not believe for sure that the bible is the inspired word of God, that's probably because you haven't put a lot of time into studying it diligently, and I don't mean that in a critical matter.
The word of God is living and active and never returns void. It doesn't matter if the person receiving it doesn't believe it.
No, I do not think I'm mistaken.

There is actually gobs and gobs of evidence of the writings of the bible. I big, huge part of christianity is faith. But there is actual proof on the writings of the bible and where they came from. You are just going to have to do a little research. A great place to start is the dead sea scrolls.

I agree, in fact there are more and differing versions than I can count.
I believe that something lords over all things and that this something is not the human race.
I do not believe we could define what we cannot understand and what most of civilization does not respect.
I also do not believe that whatever oversees over all is male or female.
In the end we die, and whether our spirit lives on or not is also a guess however who or what or the way we worship has little to do with the value of our occurrence in relationship to and within all that surrounds.

Brother, then you need to pray to the Creator.
god has given us many proofs to verify his WORDS outside the bible.
If this is a genuine request the read and get informed...
A CASE FOR CHRIST by Lee Strobel
The New evidence that demands a Verdice by Josh McDowell
Science and the Bible by Henry Morris
These should suffice you for now. A case for Christ is an easy read and I recommend it first. Josh McDowell's delves a little deeper into evidence based research, requires more concentration, but I feel it is a MUST for everyone wanting to know the truth.

The answer to ALL the christian questions or Spiritual questions is:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions = paganism
