In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

God doesn't let Satan do things. People who allow Satan into their lives are the ones who allow him to do evil. Being a Christian is a test. Satan is here to test people. A true Christian will not allow him into their lives.
If you are genuinely asking these questions you should ask someone you can trust to give you the right answer.
One good example of this is the answers to this question. Those who give an answer that goes against God are letting Satan come through in their own words, and in turn letting him spread evil words and hate.

It is true that God knew what was going to happen. An adult couple can know that their collection of rare glass figurines will likely suffer damage if they choose to raise a child, but that does not stop them from doing so. The love for the child overrules the desire to protect the fragile collection. In the same way, in order for man to have free will, then free will must exist. Lucifer was the annointed cherub whose task was to reflect the glory of God. When Lucifer became filled with pride and vanity and desired worship, he exercised free will as did one third of the other angels.
Had God stamped out free will in order to stop Lucifer, then man would never be able to exercise that same free will.
God views love, fath and worship given freely infinitely more valuable than mindless loyalty.
Hope that answer helps.

The end of Satan means the end of free will. God is giving humans as much time as he can to choose him freely and live with him forever before he destroys Satan and all evil with him.

There is no Satan... Satan is not real. What evil happens on earth is our doing. In the Bible, Satan is a personification of evil. May I stress again, WE are the ones who do evil, not Satan.
There is no Hell either- well, not in the sense that most believe. Hell is not a pit of eternal flame. Hell is simply an eternal death. If you look hell up in the dictionary (at least- an older one) you will find it says “the grave.” God who is loving, kind, and forgiving would not sentence his people to (even if they were sinners) an eternity of torture.
I don’t know how to explain many of the verses in the Bible; it has been many years since I researched it. But I would suggest you do a little research yourself. If you find you are interested you can e-mail me though.

God doesn't let Satan do whatever he wants, He lets man. He gave man "choice". He gave Adam & Eve the "choice" to not eat of the tree, yet THEY chose to sin. God sent His only begotten Son to come to Earth and die for our sins so that we may have eternal life, through that man has the "choice" to follow. If God didn't give us "choice"...we would be serving Him like robots. So we would be saying "We love the Lord" but not have any emotion behind it, we would be forced to love. Now what kind of love it that? So He gave us choice, so now when we choose to follow Him we are full of pure unstoppable sincere bring you to your knees love!!! We have all gone through trials and suffer through many temptations yet God raises us from the water and we realize how much of an incredible God we serve!!! Now He gave us a great choice...one that can change everything....will you choose to follow Christ, or continue to deny Him and go your worldly ways and spend eternity in Hell? God loves us and just like a good parent, wants us to make the right decision! He never said it was going to be easy but He did say it would be worth it!!!! email me if you wanna talk more! Take care and God bless!

Thats probable the terrific question that I certainly have heard on right here in an prolonged time. I ask myself that query daily. i'm a Christian, in the mean time besides, and that i purely lost each and every thing properly worth on an identical time as in life, so now I might desire to ask your self why God purely allowed devil to absolutely harm me. I propose its undesirable! Deaths have got here approximately, human beings I care approximately have been stripped away...why can no longer God stop the devil from doing all of this? i'm approximately to connect the atheists at this factor.
