Because two wrongs don't make a right...Just because you were a jerk doesn't mean she should be.
Polite & cordial is always appropriate!

there are a number of possible reasons:-
One - she is truly a nice, forgiving person, who understands that we are all human and that we all make mistakes.
two - she may be infatuated and you know what they say, love is blind.
three - she didn't interpret what you saw as messing up, as messing up. maybe you are taking things out of proportion.
Give her the benefit of the doubt but please, don't be mean to her again. if you don't like her, don't go near her!!

maybe she doesnt like conflict and instead of arguing with you about what she has seen or you have done to her, she just keeps her mouth shut and simply talks to you, but doesnt like you.
