this was an answer to my recent question about sinning:
A white lie for someones benefit is not a sin. A sin is something that seperates you from Gods will. Gods will would be for you to make youe sister feel good. Microwaving a baby is not God will and would be treated completely differently.
so why is it god's will that i made my sister feel good, but it's not god's will that the baby was microwaved? and you can't say it was the work of satan, because god is clearly more powerful than satan, so all work must be of god

A lie no matter how you desguise it with "white wash" by calling it a lie is still a sin against God.
God will never ask anyone to harm the innocent or cause them to shed blood.
Deuteronomy 19:10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
It was not God's will for that man to place his baby in the microwave, or the refergerator, or in the hotel safe for that matter. That man is being led by satan.
Not all things that we feel is "a feel good thing" of God. For one example so many people say that sex feels good. Sex is for the married couples and not for the unmarried. satan will fill people's head with so many lies, like "if it feels good, do it". satan is a liar, a deciever, a cheat. Don't listen to his lies. He can't even offer anyone a cool drop of water in hell.
Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
No where in the above scripture does it say, but white lies are ok. A lie is a lie.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

lying is lying. sin starts off small, with a root, and then grows over time.
a lie starts off with feelings of fear, laziness or impatience, all of which God disapproves of. His children aren't supposed to fear; you trust in God, right? Patience is a virtue, even a gift of the Spirit. laziness.... oh, don't read Proverbs, Psalms or the gospels unless you want to hear that slammed...
I could say microwaving a baby is of the devil, or I could say it's of human wickedness. God is omnipotent, but not permitted to do everything. He made us beings, so He can't manipulate us, as beings have free will. that would be sinning, and God can't sin. He also can't change the rules, as "He is the same yesterday, to day, and forever" and "he is one with His word".
Satan, though not nearly as powerful as God, still has authority in this world, as we give it to him everytime we say "no" to God. the devil is a copycat, and just like God, he follows rules. he can't touch anything that doesn't belong to him. another rule is that a spirit can't work on earth without a body. so demons have to possess a person.

White lies are a sin, so don't rationalize microwaving babies from that. GOD is more powerful, thus he can allow satan to work. If he weren't more powerful, he would have no ability to allow or disallow Satan. GOD because of free will, allows Satan to do bad things.

I am sure we have all heard of there are lies and there are discretions. Big difference.
That guy that put his baby in the microwave should be put down with lethal injection. (yeah, I said it)
edit: and God IS more powerful than Satan, but don't distort the fact that He gives us our own choices.

God gave us free will to make our own decisions. Microwaving a baby was one mans choice. I hope he pays for his mis deed.
God wants us to love each other and to love him (New Testament) Love requires free will since forcing someone to love is meaningless. With that free will, combined with our sin nature, you get acts that are in defiance of God.

God gave us the right to free will. He's not going to stop all things from happening that aren't his will.

You were misinformed.
Sin is sin.
Lies are lies.
I could murder the man that's been stalking my sister because it would make her feel better but it would still be murder.
