That's actually a really good question. The verse that I think you are referring to in the Bible is Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
When this passage talks about "death" it doesn't mean the physical loss of life. It means spiritual death; when an unbeliever goes to Hell when they die. This was the punishment Adam and Eve were condemned to in the Garden, and in the Old Testament the Jews were required to follow the Ten Commandments PERFECTLY if they were to go to Heaven. But God knew that Man isn't perfect, so He made a promise at the same time: He said that He would send a Savior (Jesus) to live a perfect life and deliver believers and all people from eternal death (IE an eternity in Hell). God wants His children to be with him in Heaven, because He loves all of us. But we have to believe in Him. The thing is, Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life and was crucified for us, as a scapegoat. Through His pain and suffering, God lifted the Old Testament law. Now all we have to do to be saved is one thing: a true belief that Jesus died for us on the Cross, and that spiritual salvation only comes through this belief. There's a little more to it than that, but this mostly covers it. I hope I answered your question well, sorry if I rambled a bit.

You have two things right . . . (1.) the penalty of sin is death and (2.) Jesus did live a sinless life.
But Jesus isn't dead. He did die, but he came back to life.
Come on if you got the first two right, how come you can't get this one?

If he had not lived a sinless life then he would have been paying for his own sins. (Romans 6:23)
Since He WAS sinless he, and only he, was in a position to pay for the sins of all mankind - which was the Father's will.
Our redemption via his sacrifice restored our access to the Father, through his Son Jesus Christ.

Do you still not understand the gospel? Jesus died so that you and I do not have to fave the penalty for our sin which is eternal death without God. A sinless Man had to die to redeem man from sin and doing so, he has given you and me the authority to rule over sin through faith in Him [Jesus Christ]
You should thank God for letting Jesus die in our place, or else we would have had to face eternity without God.
Hell is not about the flames and the worm, it is about the absence of God. That is what makes hell hell.
I recommend you study the four gospels prayerfully.

Jesus isn't dead. He is alive and sitting at the right hand of God in heaven. He willing gave up his life so you can have eternal life with him in heaven. He is the only person to ever rise from the dead and ascend to heaven! Praise God!

When Christ tell us about death, He doesn't mean what we are used to think about it. He always refers to the death of the soul, the ultimate death, not about corporal death. To the believers the life is a time where we have to wear appropriately for the voyage that drive us to the immortality. The Jesus body finished, but then he resurrected. That not to show us a miracle, but to show us what will happen to us too.

When Jesus was nailed to the cross, he took every sin that every person on earth from the beginning to the end and took them onto his own body. It was only after that was done that he died. BUT on the third day, he came back to life! He is alive today and will come back soon.

Jesus voluntarily laid down His life to pay the penalty of your sins and my sins.
John 10:14-15
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
and in verses 17-18
Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again
Jesus died for us because He loved us, and because He was and is sinless, death and sin had no power over Him
He also said:
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends
Jesus gave up the ghost and choose when to die.
Pilate was surprised at how quick He had died, since most crucified would linger for a couple of days unless their legs were broken
Jesus laid down His life and is risen and alive forevermore!
What amazing love, and how great God is, that He would die for me!

He took our sins so that we wouldn't have to pay the price of death (spiritually, going to Hell). He went to hell and back, literally, for us (so he isn't dead now, but living eternally in heaven, preparing a wonderful house for us). The only way he could have done this was by being perfect. Think of it this way: when you clean you dishes, you don't take out a dirty, greasy rag out of the hamper. Instead, you take out a nice, clean towel out of the linen closet.
Hope that helps, GOD bless!

if Jesus was dead then we wouldnt celebrate Easter...people always trying to mock God. It cannot be done. You should think before you ask a question that makes no sense and has no type of factual information in it. Not trying to be rude either.
