the first people worshipped the sun, moon, and other facets of mother nature, including the stars. Pray to this god for rain, and that god so your crops grow. As time went by the gods grew in importance, and became part of daily life.
Soon someone realized that if he could convince people that he could communicate with the gods, once this was done he had power. Organized religion grew out of situations like this all over the world. In China they have had the same religion fro at least twice as long as Christianity has been around. Does this mean that Christianity is a johnny come lately religion, are the Chinese more right because their religion is older.

No. Organized religion started much before him. China, the Jews, who eventually led to the formation of Christianity since Jesus was born a Jew, and many other religions existed much before the time of Jesus.
