He does once in a GREAT while, but there is really no point in it. Jimmie is at the top of his game, so while it may be fun, he really doesn't stand to gain much in the way of learning, and there is a risk of injury. He is about as good as it gets, and since he's not gonna learn much, might as well let a development driver get seat time and make sure Jimmie doesn't get hurt. In a way it's better for the sport when the cup guys stay at the cup level. Leaves seats for development guys AND WE NEED SOME GOOD ROOKIES.

Jimmy does make a few Busch appereancces; however I don't know if he is scheduled for any this season.

Jimmy has been in the Cup Series since 2002 and no longer needs the Busch Series for seat time. Also he did get married before the 06 Season and wants to spend more time with his Wife like any good husband would want to.

I applaud Jimmy to cutting back on his time in the Busch series. Though the series needs Cup Regulars to draw crowds; I think Drivers like Kennseth, Harvick, Stewart, Edwards and so on running almost a full schedule in the Busch Series are just plain Bullies.

Every Cup Regular with 3 or more Seasons in the Cup should be limited to 10 Busch Races a year. I am tired of these Bullies beating up on the "Little Kids"; it's really getting pathetic; Especially since Kennseth cheated twice in 06 in the Busch Series.

He races 3 Busch races a year. Both Lowe's races (due to his sponsor) and the fall California race (hometrack).
Jimmie has never excelled in the Busch series. In 81 starts, he only has one win!

Some drivers choose not to run in Busch and some driver's sponsors limits/prohibits them from doing so. I am not exactly sure which it is in Jimmie's case, maybe a little of both. I know Budweiser limits Jr's non-Cup events. He can only make a few Busch appearances and he can't do any other type of racing, like the Prelude at Eldora. He was the flag man once b/c he couldn't race!

I hope for the same reasons Jeff Gordon doesn't. Some drivers feel that the Busch Series should be for ONLY up-and-coming drivers who want to make it into Nextel someday. With a bunch of Cup drivers hogging the top 15 every weekend that's hard to do. The Busch Series, to me, should be like the minor leagues in baseball. I don't know Jimmie's reasons for not racing Busch, but he definitely doesn't need the seat time. Also, just like Jeff Gordon!

They shouldn't let ANY full-time Nextel Cup drivers race in the Busch Series. I think it is terrible. I don't mind tem owning cars, but let someone else drive. Or at least put limits on them based on experience and careeer accomplishments.

Because some drivers just don't run there. They shouldn't allow any cup drivers in the Busch series.

NASCAR is for the best of the best, and he is in that category. Busch is for NASCAR wanna-bes, who can't quite qualify for every race, but want to get their game on somehow !
The Busch race is like the junior league of baseball.

Because he doesn't NEED anymore practice (he's last year's champ you know). He does race some in the Busch Series, just for fun now and again.
