Do you mean "gyp"?

It's not P.C. to say anymore, because it derives from "Gypsy". But it means a swindle, or what has happened when someone gives you less than what you paid for. "There was supposed to be a pound of cheese here. They only gave 3/4 pound. What a gyp!"
