try having you doctor prescribe a nerveousness medicine. or try Fronteir or JetBlue and they provide TV's behind every seat. Try to bring something to distract you like an iPod, Laptop, dvd, ect.
Hope that helps!!! good luck

Beside the obvious suggestion of sedatives and distraction, I would suggest you fly jet blue. All seats have television sets which as we all know is a mindless distraction. There are 40 - 50 available channels and you can usually find something to distract you. I do not have a problem with flying but I find it really helps make the flight appear to go faster,

Being nervous is a natural, if irrational, state when flying. As a retired Naval Aviator with twenty years flying on and off aircraft carriers, I was always nervous about flying and I controlled the aircraft. But that's a good thing because it keeps the adrenaline up and keeps you alert.
Being nervous about flying is like being nervous about going on stage. Most all professional actors I know, and I know serveral, tell me they are always nervous before going on stage. But, they add, that's a good thing because it gets them alert with high energy, something the audience always appreciates.
It's a bad thing only if you can't keep the nerves under control so you become dysfunctional. But you seem to have your fear of flying under control because, hey, you're still flying. So, good for you, just keep flying and understanding that being stressed is OK so long as its under control.

Flying is safer than driving on the highway.
Keep your mind off the flight and take a book along to read, watch the movie. They usually have a good one in flight.
Take a nap, if you can. Last, but not least, pray!

Take ONE Tylenol PM and try to nap as much as possible. OR keep yourself distracted: read, use your laptop, listen to your iPod etc.
Drink lots of water while you're on the plane and if you start to have a serious problem, talk to the steward/stewardess, their job is to make sure you are comfortable on the flight.
Planes are very safe means of travel and I'm sure you'll be fine. Try to keep your mind off the flight and don't check the time constantly, you'll be where you're going before you know it.

ask the airline for the safety statistics, of flying, vs driving,,much safer,,, and, as a certifed jet aircraft mech. I assure you, that every day the aircraft is inspected, as well as every time it lands, or before it takes off. and the people in the towers do nothing but keep track of where every airplane is, what direction they are going, and how high they are,,so, they can tell a pilot, to go to such, and such an altitude, so to have all kinds of space, all to themselves. they even get up to th moment weather info,,so,,much, much safer than a car,,,

many people get nervous about flying and that's natural. one way of overcoming the nervousness is to stay off the caffine prior to flying and also avoid alcoholic beverages.

Have your doctor prescribe a mild sedative that you can take about an hour before your flight takes off.
