I am a white girl and I am married to a black man, we are in love and we are happily married and have been for over a year now. So what I am trying to find out is how many people out there still would treat a couple different because they are two people married and have a different color skin? I want all answers, even people who dont agree with it I know there out there. But I am just curious because every now and then we have some people just stare like they have never seen it before and then there are other people who act like it is nothing its not like its going to change anything we are just wondering and if you dont agree or do, can you please include in your answer what state you are from. Thank you.

I am a strong christian woman and see absolutly nothing wrong with being with the person you love as long as it is a healthy relationship despite race, sexual orientation, and age. The boundry I believe in with those three things is the age situation... 21 and up. I don't see were an 18 yr old and a 45 yr old could possibly have a healthy connection. By the time you're 21, you have a pretty good idea of who you are. At 18 you are still searching for yourself. I live in Las Vegas Nevada.

I personally have no opinion on people of different races or cultures who marry and are happy. As long as the couple is happy, great. I might accidentally stare because sometimes the contrast between the 2 people is striking-- not in a bad way. You might think I'm staring and judging you, but I'm probably thinking how exotic you look together.
I'm in Los Angeles

I have no problem with it at all. I think it's lovely and a beautiful change from the prejudice decades ago. But some people are still racist, judgemental, and old-fashioned, so they will look down on it. It'll be many, many years until interracial relationships won't even be looked on as "interracial", but simply "a marriage".

And I'm from Florida.

Originally from Arizona but currently living in Germany and en route to Norway soon.

I say marry who you want and stop looking around. No one cares as much as you do about who you have chosen-so you stop caring what anyone else thinks. I usually only date non-American men-black Africans, white Norwegian and brown Chileans. Just get the best man you can-regardless of colour.

Texas Girl.... as a black woman it always makes me look. Cant tell you why. I really dont care one way or the other. I only like men who like black women and apparently a black man with a white woman isnt one of them. LOL....
I actually have a good homegirl who is white and only dates black guys and I even look at them crazy when they try to talk to her when we go out.
Nothing wrong with it... but its just gets attention.

I dont think it is about believing in them.. I think it is about accepting them. They definitly exist. In all races. There is nothing wrong with interracail dating. The ideas that people have about them have been taught from earlier generations. When you really stop to think about it, it is two human beings- not 2 races. As long as you are happy- you live your life how you want!!!!

As far as I'm concerned, there's only one race: the human race. The human race comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. Each one is an individual. Each one is beautiful in his or her own way.

well my wife is a dark latina...or morena as is known in Brasil...I support whole heartedly marriage and relationships regardless of race..you can't help it if you are attracted to this person or that and race should NEVER play into that exclusively...

Be happy and do not concern yourself with what others think you can change the way you are but you can not change others they have to want to first.
