Because global warming is averaged over the entire world whereas local climate can vary. Please take science classes and rid yourself of ignorance.

I'm getting so bored of reading this question.

One hot day does not equal global warming.

Global warming is global not confined to Canada, it's not about one specific day or one specific year but about trends over 10's and hundreds of years.

Edit: To Jim Z (below).

You display the level of you intellect by thinking there is no explanation for the cooling trend in the middle of the 20th century - there is a perfectly rational one understood by all climate scientists - look up Sulphur Dioxide, Clean Air Acts, Global Dimming etc.

It is good that someone is questioning the global warming alarmists. I bet the real truth is this is a distraction to keep people from noticing record oil profits. Sadly it is working.

One hot day in Canada doth not a global trend make. You would be wise to remember this information in any future discussions.

That was just one hot day. Not entire years of rapidly increasing temperatures and consistently high temperatures.

Do you know the difference between a peak and a trend ?

If not, why don´t you research both words in the dictionary before you post your next question.

In spite of the rude global warming Kool Aid drinkers that answered previously, your question is good. It was warm in the 1930s. It got much cooler in the 1940 to 1970s. The global warming Kool Aid drinkers cannot explain this based on CO2 so they resort to insults. That reveals the depth of their intellect.
