My understanding is that the answer is yes. Hell is a sort of purgatory. Depending on how much you have sinned, you have to spend more or less time in hell before being allowed to go to heaven. Unless you aren't sorry for your sins. Then you stay in hell forever. But considering the waiting times for the new wings they are building in "Hotel Heaven", even the good guys are forced to spend time in hell out of sheer necessity, although they didn't deserve it.

Luke 16: 22-28 tells the story of a rich man in hell who wanted water but was denied. He then asked for mercy and to escape and that request was also denied. It seems hell is very permanent. That's why I find Christianity to be so brutal; it's either join us or burn forever.

nop, you can only be save by Faith. doing good behavior, but doesnt live in faith will not save you from hell!.

We come to Christ through faith, responding to his wonderful grace and kindness that leads us to repentance. This saving faith that we believe and confess (Romans 10:9)

Faith is never a one off event or a feeling; it is a lifestyle of trusting God and believing his Word. Faith in Jesus Christ and his Word is what God looks for in his people, (Luke 18:8)

There is no such thing as Hell.
When people die they go to the 'grave'.
This means eternal unconsciousness!

The Hell concept was created hundreds of years after the Bible to control the masses.

no the only way to get out of hell (according to the Bible... not man) is to realize that your a sinner, and b/c of sin you HAVE to go to hell... but God promised that of you accept the payment of Christs blood on the cross to take you to heaven.. then you go to heaven and not hell. God died for us . he payed the for OUR sin
