First thing that needs to happen is ATTITUDE CHANGE. If this doesnt happen, you have no hope. And for your best chance of achieving immediate results, GET HELP. A friend or anyone close to join you, someone to keep you on track.

The three tricks that I employed to lose weight (and i was successful). I first cut out beer and french fries (considering youre 15, you arent drinking beer yet). After a few weeks past, I then cut out soda and fruit juices. (if you can do that, you are avoiding so much unnecessary sugar). After that, I cut out fast-food completely. By now, I have been choosing the foods I should be eating & avoiding marginal or bad ones. After this plan, I have established discipline. During this entire plan, I could always remind myself, stay DISCIPLINED.

Of course, during this entire time, I've been working out. This has clearly been the most uncomfortable, but my friend whom I work out with - theres NO WAY i wouldve reached any results without all those weeks sweating and being miserable exercising.

On a side note, I have been overweight and now have lost 40 lbs. I think I've reached medium size, which is exciting.

Good Luck to you.

Snack throughout the day so you don't over eat at meal times. By snacking I mean fruits and vegetables, etc. A cookie in each hand doesn't mean a balanced diet. Lay off the fast food too. Drink plenty of water!

if you cannot control the way you eat in the home then control the way you eat outside the home , like at shool only eat the healthy food in the canteen

try educating your parents in a subtle way - when they go shopping go with them and read the ingredients at the back of the packs of food pointing out to them the percentage of fat, sugar, salt etc without actually refusing to eat it, this should get them to think a little more.

try to influence the buying of more fresh than processed food just by stating that you prefer it

ok the first thing is DON"T STARVE YOURSELF! just eat healthier foods and get plenty of excersice. and you do NOT need to lose weight! i mean come on! 145 is normal for a 15 year old! well anyway, its your body. just watch what your eating and get excercise.
p.s if your stressed you can gain weight that way to.
