You fill an application online verses going to the place an filling out the application.
Do they actually read the application and go over it when you send the application over the internet? Is it better for you to just go to the place fill the application out and give it to them?
The reason I ask his my husband and I filled some applications online instead of going to the place.
I see it easier that way if it's possible especcially with gas prices as high as the are right now. Why spend $30 on gas to find a job when you can do it online then if they like you they can call you and set up a interview, at least that way you don't spend money that you may not have since you are looking for a job.

On line, employers prefer it that way, they can weed out the ones they don't want in one sweep instead of drips and drabs through paper and also it helps if you have lousy handwriting

More and more business' are switching to electronic applications. Ppl are sometimes uncomfortable about it but it's the same as filling it out in office especially when job searching can be so time consuming and taxing on the wallet. More times than not you don't get a chance to make an impression when you fill out an application in office bcuz the application is hardly ever handed directly from you to the actual hirer/HR rep/etc.

I think that there are pros and cons to online applications. Yes they are more convenient and some places actually prefer it, and yes it saves on paper. But also, when you hand an application to someone, there may be a chance that there is a manager there able to talk to you right away versus waiting for the call back. I think either way, if they want to hire you, it won't really matter how you applied, they will get back to you some way. Good luck, I hope you guys get something good.

I think they read them, but I also think face to face is better. You establish a relationship in a way and maybe it will help.
