This is why I think the saying "God Bless America" is arrogant. I don't think it's any better than Osama bin Laden saying that Allah tells them to kill Americans.

Ah. When you say, "God Bless the Military," you're hoping for divine intervention. For example, in Iraq, that would mean that God would subjugate the free will of the Iraqi people and turn them spontaneously into SUV-driving Americans.
Or at least God would smite GWB -- that would also help the military.

Just remember this: Humans wrote the Bible, not God. Do you really believed deep in your heart that God bless de Military, or any War? Just believe in God how you think He is, not what others tell you about Him.(negative things)..

He can bless the leaders with wisdom. He can give peace to the people who are fighting for their country, to have assurance that they are doing what they are called to do. That they will have family that upholds them with honor.
Individually or within a group, either side needs prayer for their soldiers...

Gods good to have on your team. He helps out his favorite soldiers like in David and Goliath. Modern examples are
"I cant believe the range on this 50 cal sniper rifle." Why cant the soldier believe it well its God thats carrying the bullet and extra 300 yard to waste the Islamic guy.

God can't be a blesser about violence. Only men can! They use God to hide their real intentions. Petrol, power, diamond, gold, supremacy, politics and so on. Do you think that a God could bless some sons against some other sons? We are all his sons! Then?

A military cannot be blessed.
A military need only to make peace with their adversary so the killing can stop.
Man can make the peace, not a "fanta-whimsical" flea -bitten God.

Obviously God picks sides. How do you explain the St. Louis Rams winning the 1999 Superbowl, or was that Satan?
Kurt Warner had the pocket presence of a block of granite.

He blesses them by smartening up the politicians and getting the soldiers home without killing too many of them.
