Why would he give up his only child to help a stranger. This is child abuse. I will not follow someone who abuses children.

Yes i would die for MY children. What i couldn't fathom, would be any reason my children would have to die for me.

The whole thing hangs on our 'not understanding the mind of God'. It's a sick and twisted hypothesis. God, an omnipotent and omniscient being, creates unbelievably hideous eternal torture and gives us ONE way and one way ONLY of avoiding it. Believing that he would kill his kid, adult or otherwise, to 'save' us from the hell he made.
C'mon, a supreme being could come up with a less dysfunctional method. Like Buddhism.

Then you will be cast into Hell.
Your statement exemplifies the silliness of unrepentant people the world over. "I do not agree with what God does! Therefore I choose not to follow him.
Sounds quite noble in the eyes of the world. The problem is God is not democratic nor is he interested in your righteous indignation.
The bottom line is He makes the rules. Reject Him at your own peril.

It is the untimate sacrifice to save us from our sins. He did this to save us from all the sins we do, will do, and are capable of doing. When we sin, all we need to do is sincerely ask for forgiveness.
I would do anything in this world for my children. I would also do anything I possibly could do to save another person's child.

Your religious organization has truly failed miserably in you case.
We're talking ADULT child here.
The personnage we know as Jesus had existed for more years than you can fathom.
We're talking WITH consent.
Jesus was not pushed, he volunteered.

Are you SERIOUS!?
Jesus went to the cross WILLINGLY. He could have called on God to send angels to save him at ANY point throughout His suffering / crucifixion...or even continued His prayer in the garden without saying "not my will but yours be done" and saying "Please save me from this NOW." But He loves us - we are God's children. Wouldn't YOU die for YOUR children if it would save their lives?

We are not strangers to God. We are created in his image. We are his children. He loves us and wants to have fellowship with us. He sent his son to die for our sins so that we could have a relationship with him and be with him in heaven.
