At 11 yrs. of age, you should not be worried about your weight. HOWever,
The best "diet" I can reccommend for anyone, is a helathy one. Eat proteins (meats, cheeses, etc.) carbs, (bread, rools, tortillas,), veggies (salads, cucumbers, brocolli, caufliflower, green beans, corn, carrots, etc.), and fruits (watermelon, honeydew, apples, oranges, etc.). Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses or 4 - 16 oz (20 oz. ok too) bottles of water per day.
Then, exercise---not jumping jacks, jogging, etc. Do fun stuff-
riding your bike, roller skating, swimming, and even in the privacy of your room, by yourself, you can turn on the radio or a cd and dance to some music (not blaringly loud to bother your parents, or the neighbors,) but the volume that you can comfortably enjoy.
Yes, you can allow yourself time to play vidoe games, computer games, etc., just really limit the time doing these things. Like one hour (ok 2-if your homework is done, chores are done) and before your bedtime, with the okay of your folks. Per day. Or, make those games an every other day thing. Like do your bike riding, walking, bowling, etc. 3 - 4 times per week, and the other, play games, read, relax.
I wish you the best. Take care.

skipping breakfast is the worst thing to do. Eat a fruit salad. Because you dont get the fuel you need to go about the day so you tend to eat more at lunch or dinner. Also snack all day. This might sound funny but it works. I'm not talking about snacking on cup cakes or cookies. Pack a few bags of 1 cup full of nuts or dried fruit and snack every few hours so you will not feel like you are always hungry. Not feeling hungry will make you eat less. Look up portion control and see how much a portion of veggies/fruits/meats you should eat in one meal. For exercises, if you walk home from school, take the long way. If you have a pet, walk them everyday after dinner and maybe twice a day on the weekends. Try 1 mile and build your self up to do more. Dancing is great exercise. get a few friends together once a week and have a mini dance class. There is tones of youtube videos on how to do the choreography to music videos.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
