I used to.
I pull out my minstrel's harp and start to sing a tale about the time I was walking lost through these very woods and a werewolf jumped out and violated me, then a silver dragon did the same, and then a red dragon violated the rest of the party.
Once the party is completely cowering in fear, watching the shadows lengthening as the sun goes down... I pick all their pockets and walk away , hugging the Werewolf, winking to the Silver Dragon, then gesturing the Red Dragon towards where the tied up rest of the party is.
Chaotic Neutral was fun.

You probably weren't the best DM, were you. Describe the forest, how did I get in the forest, what is the background info that is needed. A good DM will paint the background well enough for the players to build the story.

Sorry I don't do any LARP D&D.
You shouldn't either just watch Mazes & Monsters.
With that said my character would do things.
