How does that work? Do you think God tallies up the votes then answers that prayer? Or do you think that if only one person prays for something, it's more likely to get overlooked by God? Isn't God supposed to be omniscient according to your belief system?
Why would you trust in a god who answers prayers according to their popularity?
Sorry, but God doesn't exist. Also, if you can't handle rooming with women without it becoming some kind of sexual thing, I suggest you stick with rooming with guys. You have your own brain. Use it. You're the only one who knows what kind of roommates you're compatible with.

I have already prayed that you will be matched with the right set of room-mates. But be smart about it! Ask questions and let them know you're a Christian (if that's the case). Be open and honest.
