I fish in Lake Huron and the Saginaw bay on Lake Huron.
Sometimes I run the "Steeples" on the Charities islands. If I want to fill the cooler with Walleyes I run the Bay, it fills with five to nine pound Walleye in no time. I usually just troll with planer boards but, you can drift with the wind as some do and let a worm harness bounce along the bottom.
Sometimes drifting plastic, you have to have many colors and listen to the radio to hear what they're hitting on, that helps.
I run, it depends on, how many are with me, two lines to a person, so I can have as many as ten lines in the water. I'll run plastic on top, in the middle and, on the bottom. I'll also run worms, as soon as I get hits, I'll switch, then the action starts.

Water depth here is about nine to ten feet, the steeples are from four to forty feet. The Walleyes here are natural and run from five pounds to a record of sixteen or bigger and a record is going to come out of here but, you have to work for it. A good place to drift for Walleyes, a lot of room but, you have to have a bigger boat, it's thirteen miles out.

I like to use a crawler harness for a couple reasons. (A) It's a lure combined with live bait. If fishing is slow, sometimes live bait is a little more tempting to walley . . . especially this time of the year when fish are still a little lathargic. (B) If WALLEY fishing is slow, sometimes you can pick up nice pike or bass . . . depending on the indigenous fish, and bottom features of the lake. Hope this helps. Good luck fishing : - )
