Follow the booklet instructions; it is a snap. All you put on it is your name, address, social security number. Line one is for your gross income from your W-2; follow the remaining lines. Refund or you may owe; but usually it is a refund.

You want to get the variables on one side and the constants on the other. Doesn't matter what order you do them in. 7 - 5x = 17 Subtract 7 from both sides: 7 - 7 - 5x = 17 - 7 -5x = 10 Now, multiply both sides by a negative one: -5x = 10 → → 5x = 10 Divide both sides by 5 5x = -10 x = -2 ← Answer * * * ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ANSWER * * * 7 - 5x = 17 ← Original equation 7 - 5(-2) = 17 ← Substitute your answer for 'x' 7 - 5(-2) = 17 ← Combine like terms / Reduce 7 + 10 = 17 ← Substitute your answer for 'x' 17 = 17 ← Checks! Good luck in your studies, ~ Mitch ~

First of all, I guess you missed the line in the instruction book that says tax returns were due April 16.

If you have the instruction booklet, it shouldn't be difficult at all. Hell, I can do it without the instruction booklet... That's why it's called "EZ".
