The graphic they show in the movie has temperature and Co2 plotted on a chart for the last 650,000 years, except they stopped plotting temperature for the last 10000 years. The reason is temperature stopped rising and if you look at the graphic it will show that Co2 responses to temperature change and not the other way around.

The link below has a video which will explain global warming and also the lecture is excellent. ABC network might show the video in the next few months.

Global Warming is not a lie. We need to open our eyes, the past century has been the warmest years ever, the ice caps are melting, arctic animals are becoming endangered, weather changes everywhere, oh but wait thats just a lie. Of course its happening and we're not going to be able to stop it if people keep pretending that its not happening.

In simple terminology, Global Warming is the increase in the world's average temperature, believed to result from the release of CO2(Carbon Dioxide) and other gases into the Earths atmosphere by the burning of fossil fuels.
Other examples of these fossil fuels are: Coal, wood, oil and natural gases and nuclear energy.

The CAUSES of Global warming, are as follows:
1) Carbon Dioxide: This is produced by road vehicles and by the constant burning of fossil fuels in power stations, in factories and in the home. The Secondary source of CO2 is deforestation and the burning of the tropical forest (this is said because trees when burnt, gives off NO2 Nitrous oxide)

2) CF Cs(Chlorofluorocarbons): This is produce from certain aerosols, Air conditioners, foam packaging and refrigerators.

3) Methane: is released from decaying organic matter such as peat bogs, swamps, landfills sites, animal dung and farms.

4) Nitrous oxide: is emitted from car exhausts, power stations and agricultural fertilizer.

Global warming is a natural phase of the earth's climate also referred to as an "interglacial period". Some believe that this is caused by increases in CO2 levels, but in fact CO2 levels rise in reaction to warming trends. The warmer temperatures cause the CO2 in the oceans to "evaporate" out of solution and into the atmosphere.

Due to increased carbon dioxide emissions, some of which are man made, the atmosphere contains an increasing amount of carbon dioxide, which causes increasing retention of heat from the sun in the atmosphere, causing the average temperature on earth to slowly rise. This results in all sorts of problems, including ice melt. Go rent Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" on DVD. Even the biggest doubters should be troubled by the findings.

I will tell you the story, And I mean the STORY:
It started about one hundred years ago. The World is going to blow up cause it is so warm. I mean it has raised so much. I mean so very very very much. a whole .000006 c* in the last 100 years. What are we ever gonna do?

- lol - its true though that the world has only warmed that much,in the past 100 years.
