good god, bad god, its a pointless exercise to try to out think a divine entity.
Do what I did - answer that and all other pointless and answerless questions about god by becoming an atheist.

No. It is signifies that there is more to the story than we know.
It is the highest arrogance to assume that we have all the facts and that therefore God is wrong.
What if death is not the worse thing that can happen to a person ?
What if there is a great controversy between Christ and Satan where Satan declares that his way of doing things is better than God's way ?
What if the Bible is true and human beings are so selfish in the extreme that their perception of God is the same as Satan's perception of God ?
What if God does intervene in human affairs but He does not override the power of choice ?
Once we start asking questions, we realize that we can probably ask some others too.
Here is a paradox; Would an extremely selfish mind be inclined to place the most favorable contruction on the motives and actions of an infinitely loving mind ?

This is a bad metaphor, because for us a dead child is just that, dead. For God the dead child has simply changed states, and in practically no time at all shall be reunited with its family.
Now, think of the consequences of God intervening every time someone is about to suffer a tragic end. Our actions would have practically no consequences. What would be the motivation for behaving responsibly? If something bad is about to happen, God will just stop it. Does that make sense? Is it living?
I'm not sure if God exists, but the lack of intervention is not a strong argument against its existence, because we lack a complete understanding of how things work from such a being's perspective.

What satan meant for bad God will turn it around for good. Ever notice how we'd all agree that letting a child run lose especially near traffic is a very bad thing? Now we all try to keep our kids safe. BTW....It says in Scripture that it will rain on both the just and the unjust. To the unbeliever, enjoy the life you have now because without Christ this will be the only enjoyment you will ever have for the rest of eternity when you die.

That is a foolish question. This mortal world does not matter. If God, controlling all things, had me get ran over- I would be thankful, for now I enter the gate of eternal paradise. God is not responsible for the actions chosen ignorantly be we the people with free will.
As for trying to help a 2 year old child, I would die trying to save my enemy. That is the heart indeed wanted of you by Jesus.

One of four conclusions: 1. God is "bad," because he can prevent it but chooses not to; 2. God can prevent it, but has a reason not to which is beyond the understanding of humans; 3. God would like to prevent it, but can't; 4. There is no God.
This is why I'm an agnostic!!

Even givng the believers the benefit of the doubt - for a moment - and accepting the reason they have for god not getting involved, how does he still look down on this planet and see every moment of every day - suffering, death, illness, despair from young olds innocent and not do something? what's he waiting for?
What issue has yet to be resolved from his standpoint?
I've thought about that for decades and have never heard a reasonable answer

Its funny how an athiest would risk his life to save a child but an all loving creator won't do squat. So once again we are left with the philosophical impass, if god does exist then he's kind of a prick so its probably better if the atheists are right and there is no god at all.

I would try to save that child, but if it is inevitable there is nothing I can do. If God reallly really wants to save the child he would perform a miracle, if not, than oh well. I will tell you this though, if God truly is a just God like people say, than why is it he lets good people suffer and the bad people enjoy life? IMHO, there is no God, just a guy that likes to watch.

The people in the cars and the parents who were not paying attention to their child at the time have free will. God makes up for it in the end.

Well speaking of a child. God freely gave His son's life for atheist and other non-believers. Does that make Him a bad God? ..No, and He see's all the bad things they say about Him on this forum.
