"What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders, they disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?"
Plato said that about the youth of his age, how many centuries ago?
Let them type as they will. It will either change communication and the language for the future, or it will pass as a fad.
There truly is nothing new under the sun.

Overall encouraging with a few stand out discouraging individuals..
Each generation feels the generation before them is too opressive while the generation behind is too lazy and out of control..
Most young people today are bright, intellegent, thoughtful people.. We usually don't hear about them because they go about their lives doing nothing flamboyant, destructive or deplorable enough to "sell" on the 10 o'clock news regularly.. Occassionally there will be a filler story about a teen or group of teens doing volunteer work or just being great kids but those stories are always presented in a context that contrasts them against a "Horrors and distruction committed by teens" story...
From me the younger generation gets a thumbs up overall including those in this format..
Oh yes almost forgot...
To the younger generation... "Turn down that stereo!!!"
Sigh... Almost lost my old foggie status, can't compliment to next generation too much without saying something old foggiesh in order to retain my status...

I am offically an Old Foggie (61) and the kids that pose questions don't seem to have the respect that the kids "back in the day"had. Life is so much different and this is the Age of Information. Kids today have access to so many venues to get their education from. Even cartoons today show disrespect. I know that I am part of the dying breed of using Southern Hospitality but you still catch more with honey than you can with vineger.

Yeah. A dissociative disorder is not like "multiple personality". It's when a person's coping mechanism is to withdraw in an extreme way from stressors or whatever. They might have states where they totally forget stuff like your brother, but they don't have other personalities. You could have a little genetic predisposition to anxiety or other issues, or maybe your family background or whatever had some stuff in it that was complicated for you guys, you don't say. It's good you are aware, and if you're worried, go see a therapist and deal with it now. You're like, way young, and you have lots of time to be fine.

Since I'm over 50, I suppose you're asking my age group this question.
As far as most of the "real" questions go, I'm glad they're being asked. It let's me know that there's still hope for the world.
Most of the answers are encouraging, too. They tell me that these kids are doing their homework.
There are a few (as there are in every group) that wouldn't know "cordial" if you smacked them in the face with it. However, most are as kind and polite as one my age would expect from our generation. This, too, is encouraging. It tells me they're being taught respect.
Now, about the grammar......well, you cant have everything. Besides, even with all the errors I know what they're saying.
Overall, it's encouraging to know that these guys are intelligent, polite, and curious about where we came from and what is to become of us.

I say most of them are inqusitive, thought out questions. The answers for the most part are genuine and the young people's concern over the well being of virtual strangers is wonderful.
In this age of texting, the grammer is pretty good. I read alot of questions that the sentence structure and spelling are a lot better than mine ever was.
I give a thumb's up also.

Overall, I don't think age is the best indicator of cordiality and grammar. Education and religiosity are better gages.

I think few of them have a clue. Their grammar is pretty good, their questions are disingenuous and the answers smartassed.
