Okii, so heres, the deal. Im a US permanent resident but I´ve been living in Costa Rica since August 2006. Anyway, my dad was meant to mail me my tax information in february, but of course he didnt until, like April 20th or so. So i didnt do my taxes on time, nor filed for an extension. Then I tried making them through turbo tax, but it didnt let me submit them cause a) my dad claimed me as a dependent and I´m not b)It wouldnt accpet the country code for Costa Rica. Turbo Tax said I had to mail the forms, and heres the real question:
Should I just print everything I got done on Turbo tax and mail it? Should I write a letter and what should it say? And where should I mail it to?
Money really isnt a problem, I dont owe nor own anything, so it´s a pretty easy case, I´d say..
Please help!!

There are details involved involved in that I don't know about (you didn't provide enought details)

I don't know what your return looks like (i.e. if you are just a 1040, or if you have more complex tax transactions such as FTC, FSI, foreign investment holdings, etc).

My best advise would be to contact the IRS using the URL below. They can point in the course of action.

As long as you don't owe money the fact that your return is late is not an issue. Just print them and mail them. Your dad should probably file an X form to change you as a dependent on his taxes. If he doesn't being on two tax forms could raise a red flag at the IRS and cause problems for him.

You should be able to print the forms that you did on Turbotax and mail them to the IRS. If there is a problem, the IRS will let you know. Go to www.irs.gov to find out where to mail them. There are different addresses based on where you live.

IRS
Austin, TX 73301

You should print your returns from Turbo Tax and mail here. In reality, you could have mailed it to any IRS center and they would have accepted it.

If you don't owe and turbo tax won't e-file, go to the IRS website and see if one of the free e-file sites will work.
