Flying anywhere west is always good as you are essentially going back in time and it feels just like a really long day. Dont try and do too much on your first day and ensure that you get some good sleep aiming to get up for breakfast. Doing this you will be acclimatised within the first 24 hours.

When you are coming home i.e. flying east, you will experience the worst of jet lag. Ideally you should get some sleep on the flight home (at least half of the flight i would suggest) and go through the same ritual when you land, again, you should be ok within 24-36 hours.

Typically flying West you don't get too much jet lag. Coming home is much worse. Make sure you get some sleep on the plane. Get your doctor to prescribe some sleeping pills if you have trouble sleeping on planes. Even a couple of hours sleep will help minimise the jet lag.

It depends upon the individual. I never experienced "jet lag"; I just go by the sun. What I do have problems with is the artificial time change. I would suggest eating, sleeping, etc., on your normal routine and pick up your routine after your flight.

Don't eat too much before flying. Avoid alcohol during flight and for a day before it. Drink plenty of water. Airy clothes. Walk when you can during the flight or at least exercise your ankles and feet as advised. Try and get a good nights sleep before flying. No heavy food.

Vegas is the easiest city in the world to get acclimatized.. It's 99% indoors, covered, interconnected, lit up like a street light 24x7, with all the casinos and restaurants open all hours.

Just hydrate as much as you can on the flight, sleep as much as you can on the way over, and enjoy yourself once you arrive.

Eat healthy, get lots of exercise the minute you get to your hotel, drink lots of water, stay away from artificial light, and get a massage shortly before you should go to sleep. It also can't hurt to take something to help you sleep, like a sleeping pill, booze, or a sedative if you have any handy. But ideally you want to tire yourself out.
